Greek Golden Visa – What lawyers do:

In Greece, unlike in many other countries, properties could have various legal issues. These issues can range from the title of the seller, claims on the land (such claims by third parties who claim to be the owners of the property or part of it, successors or heirs, etc.), mortgages securing loans or other debts, caveats, rights over the property etc.

A property investment for the purpose of acquiring a golden visa is quite a significant one and it is very important to make sure that the purchase price actually reflects the value of the property.

Due Diligence:

As part of our service, the first task would be for our Greece golden visa lawyers to conduct a due diligence exercise over the property and identify whether the property has any legal issues and if these problems can be rectified.

Contract:

Assuming the there are no issues with the property and/or if any issues can be fixed, then depending on the specific circumstances and after having negotiated and documented its terms you can either proceed with the signing of a pre-contract or with a final property transfer contract before a notary public, which would then have to be registered with the relevant land registry as soon as practically possible.

Golden Visa:

Once the property has been registered, our lawyers would proceed with the filing of an application for the issuance of a Greek golden visa.
